Kallol has over 12 years of experience in storage management and protocol development. His expertise is in RAID firmware, SCSI and Fibre Channel devices and SAN solutions. He has worked on specialized TCP/IP stack implementation, Fibre Channel Interface using Tachyon chipset and Windows 2000 Host Network driver development. Prior to joining Azure, he was working as a Principal Architect for SCSI and Fibre Channel RAID products at American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI) USA based on MIPS 5000 processor. On Device side, he has worked with QLogic Fibre Channel controller. Earlier he worked on SCSI RAID product, on Intel's i960 family with SYMBIOS SCSI Controller and home-grown RTOS. Key features of the firmware were caching, rebuild, reconstruction, target mode support, online capacity expansion etc. His major contribution to clustering solution has enabled AMI to enter the SAN market. He has developed knowledge on VxWorks, RTLinux. He has very in-depth knowledge of Windows NT operating system and developed NT device drivers for several generations of RAID products including the support for fail-over functionality. He developed NT/2000 SCSI Miniport Driver, SCSI monolithic driver, replacing port-miniport combination with queuing, Multi-processor synchronization.

He was also leading a group of engineers to develop four generation of storage and SAN Management tools. The toolset were based on technologies like JSP-Servlet solution, Applet solution using socket, MFC / COM solution for client-server environment, Enterprise management using HP Openview, Intel LANDesk etc. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and a Graduate Diploma in Advanced and Parallel Computing from Santa Clara Univ., California, USA.
